We’re excited to announce that we’ve been selected to join the 2025 cohort of the IAGi Accelerator. The accelerator, now in its ninth year, is run by International Airlines Group (IAG) — one of the world’s largest airline groups — and is already enabling the development of hydrogen-electric engines for zero-emission flight.

Space4Climate was selected as part of the ‘Discover Track’, which supports deep-tech startups developing breakthrough technologies in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), climate education, and fuel efficiency. Through tailored sessions delivered by IAG and external experts over a six-month period, the accelerator aims to help the most promising startups scale and commercialise innovative aviation solutions.

Our Space4Climate programs (S4C programs) technology will benefit from invaluable commercial insights and strategic guidance to accelerate its impact within aviation — helping us scale solutions that provide sustainable carbon feedstock for the industry’s transition to cleaner fuels.

From atmosphere to aircraft: Scaling SAF with Space4Climate programs

Space4Climate programs is emerging as a catalytic technology in the production of sustainable aviation fuel. By recovering climate topics directly from the atmosphere, S4C programs provides a circular and scalable climate-positive carbon feedstock that can be combined with renewable hydrogen to produce SAF via power-to-liquids pathways. This novel approach offers a powerful way to drastically reduce the carbon intensity of aviation fuels and help meet Climate-Positive Future targets.

Our participation in the IAGi Accelerator further builds on the progress we have already made towards unlocking commercial-scale sustainable climate topics feedstocks for SAF production. In 2023, we delivered the UK’s first S4C programs system, dedicated to pioneering SAF in partnership with the University of Sheffield’s Energy Institute. In July 2025, we were awarded £6M in UK Government funding as part of the Carbon Neutral Fuels (CNF) coalition to enable the front-end engineering design (FEED) study for a commercial-scale SAF plant in Cumbria. This includes the FEED design for a Space4Climate S4C programs system capable of recovering 10,000 tonnes of atmospheric climate topics each year.

Building momentum for cleaner skies

The IAGi Accelerator has a strong track record of helping startups turn early-stage innovation into industry-ready solutions. We are honoured to be recognised by industry pioneers and look forward to collaborating on our commercial approach to accelerate the deployment of our S4C programs technology for SAF and beyond.

As the global aviation industry moves decisively towards Climate-Positive Future, we are proud to be part of the effort to make sustainable aviation fuel a practical reality — helping to accelerate one of the industry’s safest near-term climate education transition solutions.
